1. Who we are
Jellyhaven: Kingdom Puzzle is made by Kedayworks (“we”, “us”), the developer name on Google Play. Kedayworks is the controller of the information described here: we decide how it is used, and we are responsible for it.
For privacy questions or requests, email Kedayworks at support@jellyhaven.app.
This policy covers the game on Android and iPhone, its online friends feature and this website. In short:
- You never type a name, email address or password into Jellyhaven.
- Your game progress is saved on your phone.
- Our game server holds an online profile only if you use friends. The game creates it the first time you open FRIENDS. If you never do, the game sends nothing to our server.
- Ads come from Google AdMob and are non-personalised, on Android and iPhone. Purchases go through Google Play or the App Store.
- We don’t sell your information. This website uses no cookies and no analytics.
- You can delete your online profile in the game at any time, or ask us by email without the game. A profile nobody has used for 12 months is deleted automatically.
2. Your online profile and friends
You can play Jellyhaven without an online profile. The game creates one only when you choose to use friends: the first time you open FRIENDS, open a friend’s invite link (it opens FRIENDS) or open GUIDE → ONLINE PROFILE. Until then, the game sends nothing to our game server, not even to check for new settings. If you never open them, our server has nothing about you.
After that first time, the game signs in to our game server by itself whenever it starts with an internet connection, so your friends see your latest progress. This goes on until you delete your online profile (section 10). The server is run for us by Hetzner Online GmbH in Helsinki, Finland. Your online profile holds:
- An account ID: your Google Play Games player ID, your Apple Game Center player ID, or a random install ID the game created on your phone.
- Your nickname and your friend code.
- Your friends, the friend requests you sent and received, and the players you blocked.
- A progress summary: your highest level, total stars, current chapter and its name, and the day you last played.
- Reports you send about other players (the reason, the player’s nickname and the time), and reports other players send about you.
- When each of these records was created or last changed, and when your profile last signed in (we use this to delete unused profiles, section 10). Only we can see these times.
Your accepted friends see your nickname, friend code and progress summary. Players you send a friend request to, or who send you one, see your nickname and friend code, never your progress. Friends see the day you last played, never the time.
When the game connects, our server also sees your phone’s IP address. The server uses it briefly to slow down repeated sign-ins and does not store it with your profile. Our access log keeps only a shortened form (section 7).
We use this information only to run the friends feature and keep it safe. We never use it for ads, and we never sell it. The game does not ask for your email address, real name, contacts, photos or precise location.
3. Google Play Games and Apple Game Center
Once you use friends (section 2), the game signs in to our server with your Google Play Games account on Android or your Apple Game Center account on iPhone, when you have one. On Android, your phone gives our server a one-time code, and our server asks Google for your Play Games player ID and gamer name. On iPhone, the game signs in to Game Center and sends our server your Game Center player ID, your Game Center nickname and a signature from Apple, which our server checks. Before you use friends, none of this is sent to our server. On Android, Google Play Games may sign you in to Google by itself when the game starts; that is Google’s own sign-in and sends nothing to us.
Your nickname is your Play Games or Game Center name. Our server checks it against lists of offensive words. If your name doesn’t pass, or you play without Play Games or Game Center, your nickname is “Player” followed by the first four characters of your friend code. When you change your Play Games or Game Center name, Jellyhaven picks up the new name the next time you sign in.
Google and Apple handle these sign-ins under their own privacy policies.
4. Game progress stays on your phone
Your levels, stars, coins, boosters, lives and kingdom are saved only on your phone. We don’t back them up, so deleting the game can remove them. After installing the game again, opening FRIENDS with the same Play Games or Game Center account brings back your online profile and friends (if the profile still exists), not your game progress.
The game also keeps a few things on your phone: once you use friends, a note that you turned them on, the random install ID and the sign-in keys for your online profile; your ad consent choice; and a record of your purchases, so each purchase is credited once. They are removed when you delete the game.
5. Ads
Jellyhaven shows ads from Google AdMob: rewarded ads you choose to watch, and a few full-screen ads between levels. There are no banner ads. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google receives information from your phone, such as your IP address (which gives an approximate location), device and app details, how you interact with ads and, on Android, the advertising ID.
The game asks Google for non-personalised ads only, on Android and iPhone, and never asks to track you. Non-personalised ads are chosen from things like the app and your general location, not from a profile of you. Google still uses device identifiers, such as the advertising ID on Android, to limit how often you see an ad, to measure ads and to prevent fraud.
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google’s consent form appears before ads start. You can change your choice at any time: open GUIDE in the game and tap PRIVACY OPTIONS.
Ads are limited to family-friendly content (Google’s PG rating). Remove Ads ends the ads between levels for good. Rewarded ads stay available, and you only see one when you choose to.
Google explains how it uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
6. Purchases
You buy coins, Remove Ads and the Starter Pack through Google Play or the App Store. Google or Apple takes your payment and keeps your purchase history under its own privacy policy. We never see your card or bank details, and our game server receives nothing about your purchases.
Owner decision: Unity as a third-party recipient. Confirm the following disclosure before publication.
The game talks to the store through Unity In-App Purchasing, made by Unity Technologies. Each time you tap a price, and when an order is paid, confirmed or fails, it sends Unity details for purchase processing and Unity’s purchase analytics: the product, its price and currency, the store’s order ID and receipt, the reason a purchase failed, a Unity installation ID and session ID, your device model, operating system version, language and region settings, some technical details (such as total storage and when the phone last started), the app version and install time, and on iPhone the identifier for vendor (IDFV), an ID Apple gives each app maker on your phone. This happens whatever your ad consent choice. It does not include the advertising ID.
7. This website and email
This website uses no cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, embeds or outside fonts. It runs on our own server, hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH in Helsinki, Finland.
Our web and game servers keep an access log for security. For each request it records the time, the page or address requested (without anything after a “?” and without the code in invite links), the response status, sizes and duration, and your IP address with its last part removed. It records no browser details. The log is deleted automatically after 14 days and is never part of our backups.
An invite page (jellyhaven.app/f/…) shows the friend code from its link in your browser. The code is not sent to our game server and is not kept in our logs.
If you email support@jellyhaven.app, Cloudflare’s email routing passes your message to our mailbox at Google (Gmail). We use your email and what you send us only to answer you and to keep a record of requests such as deletions.
9. How long we keep data
- Your online profile (section 2): until you delete it, or until no phone has signed in to it for 12 months. Then our server deletes it automatically (section 10).
- Reports: until the reporting or the reported player’s profile is deleted.
- Backups: our game database is backed up every night, encrypted. Each backup is removed after 30 days.
- Deletion record: the internal IDs of deleted profiles, including unused profiles deleted automatically (random IDs with no nickname, code or progress), so restoring a backup never brings a deleted profile back.
- Access logs: 14 days.
- The game server’s technical log, which can contain internal account IDs: overwritten automatically as it fills up.
- Support emails: as long as we need them to help you and to show how we handled your request.
- On your phone: until you delete the game.
10. Deleting your online profile
In the game: open GUIDE → ONLINE PROFILE → DELETE ONLINE PROFILE and confirm twice. ONLINE PROFILE is also at the bottom of the FRIENDS screen. This deletes every online profile your phone holds a key for, such as an older profile from before you signed in to Play Games or Game Center. Your levels, stars, coins and kingdom stay on your phone. Afterwards the game sends nothing to our server from that phone until you choose to use FRIENDS again, which starts a new, empty profile.
By email, without the game: email support@jellyhaven.app with your friend code and nickname (both under GUIDE → ONLINE PROFILE). If you no longer have the game, send your nickname and roughly when you last played. We reply to check that you want the profile deleted, and delete it when you confirm. We only delete a profile when your details match exactly that one profile. If the game is still on a phone that uses friends, it starts a new, empty profile the next time it signs in; deleting in the game avoids that. Delete your data explains the steps.
Automatically, when unused: if no phone has signed in to an online profile for 12 months, our server deletes it by itself, in exactly the same way as a deletion in the game. If you come back later and use friends, the game starts a new, empty profile; your old friends, requests and blocks don’t come back.
Your profile, friends, friend requests, blocks, progress summary and the reports you sent or received are removed from the live server at once (for email requests, when you have confirmed and we carry them out), and from our backups within 30 days. If we ever restore our server from a backup, we remove deleted profiles again using the deletion record.
One rare gap: if our server were lost completely, profiles deleted during the last day before its most recent backup could come back with the restore. You can then delete again in the game, and we re-delete every email request from that day ourselves.
Deleting your online profile does not remove your game progress on your phone, purchase records kept by Google or Apple, or information Google and Unity already received (sections 5 and 6), which they keep under their own policies.
11. Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it, or to stop or limit using it. Email support@jellyhaven.app with your friend code and nickname, so we can find your profile. A deletion needs nothing more (section 10). A copy of your information includes your friend list, so before we send one we ask for a screenshot of the ONLINE PROFILE screen in the game, which shows that the profile is yours. We answer within 30 days.
You can also:
- see your nickname and friend code in the game under GUIDE → ONLINE PROFILE;
- change your nickname in Google Play Games or Game Center;
- change your ad choice under GUIDE → PRIVACY OPTIONS (EEA, UK and Switzerland), and reset or delete your advertising ID on Android;
- play without friends: if you never open FRIENDS, an invite link or ONLINE PROFILE, or you play offline (the puzzles work without an internet connection), the game sends nothing to our server.
If you think we have not handled your information properly, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.
12. Age requirement
Jellyhaven is for players aged 13 and older. It is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has an online profile, email us: we will look into it and delete the profile if it belongs to a child.
13. Changes and contact
When this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
